Celina neighborhoods: room to grow, and growing

New construction and master-planned communities off Preston Road, with a charming downtown square.

Living in Celina

Celina neighborhoods are where a lot of North Texas growth is happening right now. Celina covers a huge amount of land, and it will be building out for years.

It also has a charming downtown square, with a few more restaurants than Prosper's, including Tender Smokehouse, a well-known barbecue spot right on the square. And Celina is known for its high school football and sports programs. On game nights, the town turns out.

Preston Road (SH 289) is the main route in and out, along with the Dallas North Tollway extension.

How I help buyers and sellers in Celina

Many of my Celina buyers started out looking in Prosper and found the prices out of reach. Celina gives them new construction and master-planned communities nearby at a different price point. Most Celina purchases involve a builder, so I help buyers compare builders, negotiate incentives and read the contract. See buying new construction in Celina.

For resale sellers, the competition is the builder down the road. Here's how I sell a Celina home.

Celina homes: new construction and master-planned

Most of Celina's housing is new construction in master-planned communities. It's one of the fastest-growing areas in North Texas, which means choice for buyers among builders.

What you give up choosing Celina

Two things. First, convenience: highways, shopping and entertainment are further away, and commutes run a little longer, mostly down Preston Road. Second, quiet. Celina will be under construction for a while, so expect building around you for years.

If you want more convenience and can stretch the budget, Prosper and Frisco are to the south.

Celina schools

Celina is served by Celina ISD. With the town growing this fast, school assignments can change, so I confirm them for every address.
